Eye care at Lens Society

Lens Society offers comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, children's eye exams, medical eye care and dry eye evaluation, all with Dr. Yousif Ghaleb, O.D. Every visit ends with a plain explanation of what was found and what comes next, and if you need care we do not provide, we refer you.

Which visits need an appointment

Every visit with the doctor, including eye exams, contact lens fittings, children's exams and medical visits, is by appointment so you get unhurried time. Browsing frames and sunglasses does not need an appointment once the shop is open, and you can bring a current glasses prescription from any eye doctor. A request sent through our website is not a booking until our team contacts you to confirm it.

Your first visit

Bring your current glasses and contact lenses, your vision and medical insurance cards, and a list of the medications you take. If your eyes may be dilated, bring sunglasses and consider arranging a driver. Plan time for questions; the doctor will walk you through the results before you leave.

What to expect at your first visit

What we do not do here

We would rather be clear up front. These services are not offered at Lens Society. If you need one, the doctor will refer you to a trusted specialist and share findings so your care stays connected.

  • Eye surgery of any kind, including cataract and LASIK surgery
  • Laser treatments
  • Injections into or around the eye
  • In-office dry eye device treatments, such as intense pulsed light or thermal pulsation
  • Myopia-control programs for children
  • Eye exams for children under 3 (your pediatrician can refer you to an eye doctor who sees younger children)

Urgent eye problems

Sudden vision loss, a curtain or shadow over your vision, new flashes or a burst of floaters, a chemical splash, an eye injury, or severe eye pain with redness and blurred vision are emergencies. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. For a chemical splash, rinse the eye with plenty of clean water right away first. Our online requests are not monitored for emergencies. For less urgent problems, such as a red or irritated eye, we aim to offer same-day visits after opening when the schedule allows.
